Whole School response to sad news
At different times during the year there will be sad or worrying news such as the events in London yesterday. When this happens the children will all come in with different amounts of knowledge. The school does not want to give more knowledge to the children than parents have already shared but we also need to be ready to listen to children who do have a greater knowledge. As a community the ability to share the power of prayer at this time is also important. Today I led the worship and we talked about two characters who each responded in different ways to hearing sad or worrying news. The theme was that when things make us sad or worried it is important to talk to our grown ups at home and at school. We also prayed for people who were going through sad times at the moment or people who are worried.
