At St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School, we strive to provide a curriculum where our children are nurtured and encouraged to reach their God-given potential.
Each class is taught through five exciting and engaging themes. Although the theme brings the learning together, subject-specific learning and knowledge is also made clear to the children. More detail about our approach to teaching each subject can be found on our Foundation Subjects page.
These are the long term overviews for the learning across the year for each class.
The Reception Curriculum is a guide only as this will be strongly influenced by the children and their own engagement with their learning. With their imaginations, the planning will evolve week-by-week, day-by-day. Mr. Booth will keep you updated via Class Dojo.
If you have any further questions about the curriculum in school, please speak to your child's class teacher or Miss Bakewell, Head of School.
