URGENT - Safeguarding warning - MOMO challenge

We wanted to inform parents that we have been advised by a parent at school as well as the local Police Safeguarding team that a frightening and threatening MOMO challenge is being experienced by children using You tube as well as WhatsApp.  The children might click on links that look innocent and then be met by a frightening image and demands for the children to do things including self harm.

Please look at the safeguarding page on the Parent Tab for up to date support.  Please talk to your child in an age appropriate way about this concern.  At school we will remind children that if they see anything they are concerned about to tell an adult straight away.
