Poppies of Remembrance
St Thomas of Canterbury Primary School children have spent time during the week preparing for the centenary celebrations of the end of World War One. The school wanted to share the thoughts and prayers of the children with the local community and painted poppy stones that they could lay at the war memorial in the village at St Mary’s Church. Rev Marcus kindly agreed and led the children as they said their prayers and laid stones for all those past and present who have been affected by war.
