May Celebrations for Mary
Beautiful weather shone on our celebration this afternoon. Traditionally in the Catholic Church May is the month that we remember Mary. At school we did this through creating a floral tribute for Mary. Each class then processed through the school to the outside classroom. Fr Emmanuel kindly joined us as we had a prayer service with the children singing Ave Maria beautifully.
Year 4 and Mrs Cass then entertained us with a fantastic display of country dancing using our maypole. No celebration would be complete without a little treat and the sun meant that this was a much enjoyed ice lolly!
