Mardi Gras
I cannot believe the weather stayed dry but it did which meant we were able to hold our first Mardi Gras procession! The children explored the themes of Lent and Shrove Tuesday in the morning. In the afternoon they split into vertical groups and each took part in a creative activity. Some of our governors also joined in. The activities included face painting, mask making and creating musical instruments.
During the morning all the children had the opportunity to learn some Samba steps and they showed how well they had succeeded in this in the afternoon when led ably by Miss James, Mrs Kitteridge and Miss Patterson the children samba danced in the playground.
Thank you to those parents who were able to join us and for all those who sent their children in with bright clothing. Here are some pictures!
